The Tule Elk roaming through the tall dry grass on Point Reyes National Seashore. Stuck between the sound of the ocean and congestion of the passing cars through their home and habitat. They live a simple life, one that is not based on time, emotion or reflection. They seek shelter when needed amongst the trees, travel in the heard, and enjoy the fresh salt air across their winter coats. Unaware of the limitless land outside of the reservation, they remain in the moment and happy. As the sun’s warmth diminished below the horizon, I watched the magic of day coming to an end.
There is so much to explore in the early hrs. Over the weekend I got to see the last late sunrise of the year. This will be the first year I’m actually excited about time change, as I now consider myself a morning person.
